Program Overview

UT’s online bachelor’s in accounting helps students develop the skills necessary to become successful certified public accountants (CPAs) or to excel in private or governmental accounting careers. The online accounting degree program offers a wide range of courses in the areas of financial accounting, management accounting, auditing, accounting systems, and taxation. 

It’s important to note that, in the state of Ohio, all candidates taking the CPA exam must first complete 150 credit hours. UT graduates have traditionally enjoyed a CPA exam pass rate well above most public universities in Ohio.

Program Details

The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) undergraduate curriculum includes a broad liberal arts background, core business courses, and a specific area of specialization. During freshman and sophomore years, students take general education classes and in their sophomore year, apply to the upper division of the program. Juniors begin their business core and major courses and select an area of specialization.

Curriculum 

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

To be admitted to the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program at UT, students need a minimum 2.80 cumulative high school grade point average (GPA) or a minimum 25 ACT composite/1150 SAT composite or a GED average score of 510 (2002 format)/710 (2014 format).

Students who don’t qualify for direct admission into the College of Business and Innovation’s BBA program may be admitted to the associate of arts (AA) pre-business degree program.
