In addition to required coursework, the State of Ohio mandates that students successfully complete a culminating exam. Until August 31, 2013, that exam was the Praxis II Teaching Reading (204) test. Candidates who have completed that exam on or before August 31, 2013 and earned a score of 179 or higher may apply for their reading endorsement after completing course requirements.
The Ohio Reading Endorsement online program at The University of Toledo allows teachers to meet the qualifications set forth by The State of Ohio, improve their effectiveness in the classroom, and expand their teaching credentials.
