Contemporary Gerontological Practice

The Graduate Certificate in Contemporary Gerontological Practice at the University of Toledo is designed to provide knowledge about contemporary issues in gerontology and geriatrics and prepare individuals for working with older adults and their families in the current health care system.

A unique feature of the Certificate Program is the delivery system.  Recognizing that individuals continually balance personal and professional responsibilities, the courses will be accessible “24/7” through distance learning.  The program consists of five gerontology courses.

The Gerontological Certificate program is located in The University of Toledo’s College of Medicine within the Department of Public Health and Preventive Medicine. It should be noted that strong collaborative efforts exist between the Department of Public Health and Preventive Medicine and the Center for Successful Aging.
