M.Ed. Special Education - Early Childhood ECIS Option*
Majors in this program are prepared to teach young children with disabilities, between the ages of 3 to 8 years, in a variety of settings where services are provided to students requiring specialized interventions to experience success in the education environment.
Successful completion of the program as well as specialized Praxis II exams leads to recommendation for the Ohio Department of Education's Early Childhood Intervention Specialist (ECIS) teaching license.
ECIS is a 36-Hour Program
Core Courses - 12 hours
Specialty Courses in Special Education, Early Childhood - 18 hours
Culminating Activity (Thesis, Project or Comprehensive Exam) - 6 hours
