ACCREDITATION AND STATE AUTHORIZATION

The University of Toledo is regionally accredited by the North Central Association (NCA) and is authorized to offer degrees online. The College of Nursing has full approval of the Ohio Board of Nursing and is nationally accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.

State Boards of Nursing set standards for licensure.  Some State Boards also require approval of programs leading to an advanced practice certification. It is highly recommended that students who seek admission to the RN to BSN, MSN, or Post Master’s to DNP online programs at The University of Toledo, College of Nursing contact their home state’s Board of Nursing to verify that the desired program and its graduates will meet the eligibility criteria for approval for those credentials. The website of the National Council of State Boards of Nursing has contact information on Boards of Nursing in each state.
