Nikki Russell served on Council as a Presidential Appointee from 2018 to 2021.
Nikki serves as the Director of Administrative Operations for the College of Medicine & Life Sciences and the Office of the Executive Vice President for Clinical Affairs where she manages key strategic priorities of a wide range of programs and initiatives. She is responsible for enhancing continuous improvement efforts, advising on policy matters, overseeing internal and external communications and leading a great team of support staff in the College.
Nikki has been with the institution for nearly 30 years serving in various University positions. Prior to her current role, she served as Executive Assistant and Project Development Coordinator for the HSC Chancellor, Secretary to the Board of Trustees and Assistant to the Senior Vice President for Operations and Administration. She has a broad depth of understanding of the University and a strong knowledge of issues that impact the environment of the institution.
Nikki is a member of the College of Medicine Executive Committee, College of Medicine Graduation Committee and the Medical Student Scholarship and Awards Committee. She is currently serving her first term on the Professional Staff Council and is a member of the Advocacy Committee.
In her free time, Nikki enjoys spending time with her family (especially her three granddaughters), and traveling with her friends.
