- Accounting ACCT:2000 - Survey of Accounting for Non-business Majors -3 hrs- A study of the principles of Financial and
Managerial accounting, collection of accounting data, preparation and interpretation and analysis of basic financial
statements, and the uses of accounting information.
- Economics ECON:1200 - Principles of Microeconomics -3 hrs- Theories of consumer behavior; determination of input and
output prices and quantities in factor and product markets; analysis of international trade and policy; applications include
labor markets and income distribution.
- Finance FINA:5310 - Corporate Finance -3 hrs- Principles underlying capital investments of the corporation and methods
used to raise funds. Topics include working capital, long-term investment, financing and dividend decisions.
- Health HEAL:6600 - Health Behavior -3 hrs- Examines the role of behaviors on health status and how to influence and
understand behavior through use of cognitive models and change theory. Applications through projects are emphasized.
- Health HEAL:6850 - Patient Health Education -3 hrs- Examination of theories and techniques applicable to structured
patient health education programs. Issues of planning, implementing and evaluating patient education in a variety of settings
will be explored.
- Management MGMT:5110 - Management of Organizational Business -3 hrs- Organizational behavior (individuals and small
groups) and organizational theory (large group and total organization). Also included is a review of the key functions of
management: (1) planning, (2) organizing, (3) directing and (4) controlling.
- Marketing MKTG 5410 - Marketing Systems -3 hrs- Introduction to marketing functions, marketing management, and the role
of marketing in the organization. Study of the relationship between marketing and its environments.
- Pharmacy Practice PHPR:3510 - Pharmaceutical Dimensions of Health Care System -3 hrs- Description and analysis of the
organization, financing and delivery of health care in the U.S. Development of communication skills for pharmacists to
function optimally in the system emphasized.
- Pharmacy Practice PHPR:4520 - Pharmaceutical Marketing and Management - 3 hrs- An introduction to the theoretical
concepts and applied techniques for resource management and marketing issues that affect the delivery of Pharmaceutical care.
- Pharmacy PHPR:6520 - Analysis of the Pharmaceutical Environment -3 hrs- A theoretical and practical examination of the
pharmaceutical environment and drug distribution system using administrative pharmacy sciences as tools for analysis.
- Pharmacy PHPR:6530 - Research Methods in Pharmacy Practice -3 hrs- An introduction to research methods and principles
used in designing, planning, implementing, analyzing and interpreting research projects in pharmacy practice.
- Pharmacy PHPR:6600 - Seminar in Administrative Pharmacy -1 hr- A critical analysis of the current problems in pharmacy
practice with individual case presentations.
- Pharmacy PHPR:5990 - Problems in Pharmacy Practice -1 to 6 hrs- Tutorial or directed, individual research problems in
administrative pharmacy or other related fields.
- Pharmacy PHPR:6960 - M.S. Thesis Research in Pharmacy -1 to 6 hrs.
- Statistics RESM:5110- Quantitative Methods I -3 hrs- Introduction to major concepts of statistical description; central
tendency, dispersion, and relative position and relationship. Inferential methods such as t-tests, one-way analysis of
variance, and multiple comparisons are also presented.
- Statistics II RESM:6120 - Quantitative Methods II -3 hrs- Course covers the major inferential statistics techniques
common to the behavioral sciences. Correlation, analysis of variance, linear regression and analysis of covariance are major
topics. Computer applications are included.
