About the Program

The level of didactic course work for the Graduate Certificate in Pharmacology/Toxicology is consistent with that offered in the existing Pharmacology/Toxicology option of the M.S. program in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Completion of the certificate program enables those whose careers touch upon the areas of pharmacology or toxicology to upgrade their career standings.

About the Curriculum

A total of 15 semester credit hours is required, and a grade of C or better in each core course is mandatory. The program must be completed within three calendar years. A GPA of 3.0 must be maintained.

Application Process

Graduate applicants should apply directly to The University of Toledo College of Graduate Studies. In the spring semester, the College of Graduate Studies will forward completed applications to the department to be reviewed by the department’s graduate committee. Admissions are synchronized for the fall semester. University graduate tuition and fees apply.

A four-year undergraduate degree with an emphasis or a major in a natural science is required. Alternatively, applicants with undergraduate degrees not emphasizing the natural sciences but with work experience in pharmacology or toxicology may also qualify.
