The University of Toledo and the University of Toledo Medical Center Pharmacy Residency Programs

TOLEDO LIFE

Founded in 1833, Toledo has become well known for its industry, particularly in auto assembly and glass (hence the nickname "The Glass City"). Toledo is now at the heart of the New Manufacturing Economy, which is entrepreneurial in spirit. The Toledo area recognizes and celebrates this spirit. Toledo is the perfect place to increase your opportunities - this area has talent, capital, and networks.

The mission of the University of Toledo Medical Center and the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (CPPS) Residency Programs is to provide outstanding residency opportunities that will allow pharmacists to advance their careers. Guiding principles are personal integrity, respect for humanity, and professionalism.

Founded in 1904, The UToledo College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences has a long history of producing successful pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists, many of whom have become leaders in business, industry, and academia.  In 2010, the College expanded to a new facility on the University’s Health Science Campus. Our nationally ranked college has markedly increased nationally competitive research funding and has developed a reputation for training pharmaceutical scientists at the masters and doctoral levels. During the last 20 years, the college scholarship endowment has grown tremendously, allowing the college to award nearly $100,000 annually in scholarships. These measures of success have helped position the college for its nationally prominent role in pharmaceutical education. With schools of pharmacy, medicine, nursing, and allied health, UToledo presents an excellent combination for academic success and interdisciplinary focus.
