Glen graduated from General Motors Institute in 1977. In 1978, he became Vice President of Wilkes & Company, a mechanical contracting company located in Huron, Ohio. In 1987, Glen was promoted to become president of Wilkes & Company, a position he still holds today. In 1994, Glen helped create and became the managing partner of the design and build firm Engineered Process Cooling Systems, LTD. and currently holds that position as well.
EPCS specialized in design and construction of mechanical systems with a concentration in process cooling systems for the polymer industry in northern Ohio. In 1991, EPCS changed its name to Engineered Process Systems, LTD and expanded the scope of its services to include electrical and mechanical systems and energy consulting. As a leader in the alternative energy field, EPS, LTD represents three wind manufacturers in the community or consumer wind turbine market. In the past year, Glen and other EPS representatives have consulted with officials from the State of Ohio and local government agencies regarding the future of wind energy, grant funding for wind energy and zoning issues affecting wind energy installations.
In addition to 30 years of experience in the mechanical construction industry, Glen has held various industry related positions including president of the Mechanical Contractors Association of North Central Ohio, and trustee for the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 42 Health and Welfare Committee. He holds state licenses in plumbing, hydronics and heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC). Glen has also served as president of the Huron, Ohio Chamber of Commerce and as a Councilman and Mayor of the City of Huron. Glen and his wife Carol currently live in Huron. They have two grown children, Nathan, age 26 and Schaun, age 21.
