Whether you're deciding/exploring majors for the first time or considering changing your major, use the guidelines outlined below for each college to determine which college(s) seem to fit you best. Even deciding which college suits you best is a step in the right direction because you can begin taking the general requirements for that college (each college has different requirements) as you begin to narrow down your choices. It is important to consider both your academic and personal interests as well as whether you prefer learning in a classroom setting or through hands-on activities (e.g., labs, internships, etc). There are various assessments and activities you can do to assist you with this decision. If you're struggling with this decision, please contact Career Services to meet with a career counselor. The "Next Step" handouts have information regarding requirements to transfer into a college, list of majors, and contact information.
