The grand opening of the NEW STUDENT HEALTH AND WELLNESS CENTER will be Tuesday, January 17. The center is located at Ruppert Health Center in Suite 0013. It will be open Monday-Thursday 12PM-6PM and Friday 8AM-1PM (INCLUDING LUNCH HOUR). Behavioral Health Services (psychiatrist Dr. Cox and a therapist) will be available on Tuesdays 7:30AM-2:30PM beginning January 24. CALL (419) 383-3777 any time between 8AM-5PM any weekday to make an appointment. All visits are billed through your medical insurance (the Student Aetna Plan pays 100%, and there is no copay) Want to meet and learn from our UTCOM alumni, but don't know how? Join them at one of these great events. SNMA and Medical Student Council are co-sponsoring a school supplies drive for children in Bokore, Ethiopia. Donation boxes will be placed in the back of HEB 100 and HEB 110. Contact Maimouna Bah at Maimouna.Bah1@gmail.com for more info. ATTENTION THIRD YEARS, Medical Student Council and the AEC will be sponsoring a USMLE Step 2 Vendor Fair. The Fair will be held on February 6th from 3-8 PM (Same place and time as your orientation). Lots of changes about to happen here at UTCOM! We've got video capturing, new furniture, a brand new student/mental health services, the LCME student survey, and much more! Stay tuned for details. |

Our Mission: The primary objective for the Medical Student Council is to unite in common purpose the members of the student body with the administration of the College of Medicine for their mutual benefit and for the betterment of the human condition.
Our Goals: Medical Student Council (commonly referred to as MSC) is here to serve you. We want to hear your questions, concerns, complaints, and ideas. The faculty and administration rely on student feedback to make the necessary changes to improve all experiences at UTCOM, so do not be afraid to speak up! Feel free to speak to any of your class representatives in person, send the Medical Student Council an Email, attend one of our meetings, or look at our bulletin board in the Health Education Building lobby.
