Student Opportunities
The University of Toledo College of Medicine offers many rewarding opportunities to its students beyond mere classes. These include research opportunites, and opportunities to experience different facets of medicine before even beginning clinical rotations in the third year.
After first year, many students take advantage of summer research opportunities.
The Community Health Project, which pairs students with community organizations to help underserved populations, is another popular choice.
Many students also take advantage of international opportunities, which may involve research, clinical, or service aspects. The Office of Student Life has prepared a booklet of requirements and suggestions. Students should also read the UT Health Science Campus travel policy.
