Want to find a cure? Register for Relay for Life 2015 here!

Relay For Life is an event that is put on by the Colleges Against Cancer chapter at the University of Toledo, and is sponsored by the American Cancer Society. Each year, over 13,000 students participate in this 12 hour overnight event in the UT Recreation Center to help raise money to fight cancer.

Relay For Life started at the University of Toledo in 2001, and has held its strong tradition ever since. The event occurs overnight to symbolize the battle that each cancer patient and their family experience. As we grow tired throughout the night, we remember what we are fighting for. The event starts by celebrating our survivors and has a ceremony half way through the event that honors our loved ones. Participants have the chance to share why they “Relay.” It is one of the most powerful moments of the night.

Throughout the night, there are many fun activities that occur. These range from dodgeball, bake sales, photobooth, jail and bail, the Mr. Relay pageant and more! Each hour is a different theme and participants dress up to earn spirit points. For more information on the event, be sure to check out Together, we can Finish The Fight!
