Commuter Students & Off Campus Services

The Office of Commuter Student and Off-Campus Services provide support through programming and a variety of resources for UT commuter students.  Students may pick up the latest listing of rental housing off-campus (apartments, houses, duplexes, rooms in private homes) plus numerous brochures to help with the rental process.  We publish a periodic newsletter and present several programs each semester spotlighting issues of interest to commuter students.  Students may utilize the Commuter Lounge for access to a comfortable place to eat lunch, study, or take a break between classes.

Toledo Fire offers safety inspections for students living off campus

The city of Toledo Fire and Rescue Department is partnering with The University of Toledo Police Department to ensure a safe living environment for students
who reside off campus.

The fire department has developed an inspection program that will help identify fire and security issues for students living off campus with a look at proper
exits, smoke detectors, security lights, and door locks.

The fire department and campus police are hopeful students will take advantage of the free, voluntary inspection program.
