In 1955 King led the Montgomery Bus Boycott and in 1963 he delivered his infamous “I Have a Dream” Speech (video) (text) during the "March on Washington". |

-Wednesday, Jan; 11 Student organization Fair, SU S. Lounge 11am-2pm. Find Student organizations to join! -Thursday, Jan; 12 Unity Vigil SU T-Section 5-6pm . Celebrate those who bring UNITY. -Friday, Jan. 13; Student organization Lock-In long! SU 9pm-7am. Play a variety of games in teams all night. -Saturday, Jan. 14; United we MOVE! REC Center Noon-1pm. Huge dance infused group exercise class. -Sunday, Jan. 15; MLK Celebration Set Up Savage, 7-9pm. Help us prep for the celebration. -Monday, Jan. 16; MLK Celebration Savage 9am-Noon. Celebrate the memory and message… -Wednesday, Jan. 18; Give Back Gala, SU Aud. 11am-2pm. Find community volunteer opportunities. |

DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
Scholarships up to $4,000 are available to undergraduate African-American students who are U.S. citizens enrolled full-time or part-time at The University of Toledo. A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred. Selection criteria for this prestigious scholarship will include GPA, extracurricular activities, civic/community service, professional goals, essays, financial need as it relates to all resources available to the student to attend The University of Toledo, and an interview.
Applicants must have completed a minimum of 30 semester hours by the application deadline of December 1, 2011. Applicants must also have a 2011-12 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file in the Office of Student Financial Aid by the above date. (Application)
