Personal Training

The Wellness Center in the Student Recreation Center offers personal training for individuals and groups for all UTREC members 14 years of age and older.  UTREC personal training provides:

  • Personalized fitness program designed for you
  • One-on-one fitness staff member works directly with you to achieve your fitness goals
  • One hour sessions scheduled at your convenience

Michelle Davis

  • Certified ACSM Personal Trainer with BS in Exercise Science.
  • Specializations: Endurance & speed conditioning, fat loss, muscle toning, and proprioceptive (balance) training.
  • Philosophy on Exercise and Well Being: Being fit is about feeling healthy physically, emotionally, and mentally.  This is achieved by regular exercise and finding a mode of exercise you can enjoy. Nobody can force one to make a lifestyle change; however, one may motivate and encourage the individual to be the best they can be. It is up to that individual to commit to their training plan. 
  • Interests and Hobbies: Running, basketball, slack lining, bike riding, and reading.

Drew Nitschke

Drew Nitschke

  • University of Toledo student
  • Involved with sports and health his entire life, played soccer and hockey at the age of 4 and since has been obsessed with athletics and fitness
  • About 6 years ago, he started working out and began researching and learning about exercise and healthy eating. Now, a certified NASM personal trainer here at the rec and really enjoys working with clients to help them reach their goals while working towards his as well!

  • Certified ACE Fitness Personal Trainer and University of Toledo alumni
  • Veteran marathon runner including the Boston Marathon and a first-rate strength trainer
  • Specialization in strength training, muscle endurance training, fat loss, muscle toning and body sculpting, functional body weight fitness, and HIIT style training
  • Outlook on health and fitness: fitness and helping others with fitness is a passion, I love to help others understand how the body works, and what can be done to improve health, will being, and fitness levels.
