Division of Student Affairs : CPR/AED Professional Level Rescuer Challenge

Class Information

• 2 year CPR/AED  professional level certification (certification is two years when taken as a stand-alone course)
• Red Cross CPR book & resuscitation mask are NOT included

Prerequisites/Requirements

• This is a challenge format class, so participants must already know CPR skills and material, a self-study is highly recommended, and a book may be purchased at the front office for $12
• A book and mask are provided for use during the class, but must be returned at the end of the class unless purchased
• Must attend and fully participate in entire class
• Must pass all skill checks and receive an 80% or higher on written exams

Class Length

• Training is approximately 3 hours.
  

Challenge Format Classes

Challenge format classes are offered as recertification classes. These classes do not contain any review or practice of skills.  Participants must know material and skills, VERY, VERY well to pass.  Only written and skills testing is done, NO INSTRUCTION.  Participants will only have one try to correctly test out on skills and pass the written exam.  Book and mask will be provided to borrow during class, but maybe purchased to keep or to review prior to class session.

Cost

• The cost is $30 for Camp Adventure students, $35 for UT Students or Rec Members, $40 for Non-Members, and $10 for SRC Staff.

Download, print, and complete the Registration Packet and drop off, mail in, or fax in the completed registration packet to the Student Recreation Center Office or stop in the Student Recreation Center Office, fill out a registration packet, and pay with cash, check, VISA, or MasterCard.
