Division of Student Affairs : Water Safety Instructor (Swimming Instructor Certification)

Course Information

• 2 year instructor authorization in water safety
• must complete homework assignments and complete a practicum of 2 classes
• 3 Red Cross books included
• registrants must be at least 16 years old, be able to dive from the deck, perform a flip turn, and swim 10-25 yards of all 6 strokes

Course Length

• Training is approximately 25 hours.

Cost

• The cost is $110 for Camp Adventure Students, $120 for UT Students and Rec Members, $130 for non-members, and $20 for SRC Staff, who sign a contract to teach for the SRC.

Course Times/Dates 2009

Participants must attend each day of the course.

Download, print, and complete the Registration Packet and drop off, mail in, or fax in the completed registration packet to the Student Recreation Center Office or stop in the Student Recreation Center Office, fill out a registration packet, and pay with cash, check, VISA, or MasterCard.
