Landlord and Tenant Responsibilities
The Attorneys at Student Legal Services, Inc., are available to assist students in understanding their rights and/or responsibilities when they rent an apartment and/or house. Ohio law imposes specific responsibilities on both the tenant and the landlord in a rental situation. The following information is designed to provide a general overview of the respective rights and responsibilities of each party.

Services provided include review and preparation of leases; assistance in resolving disputes regarding the conditions and/or maintenance of the rental premises; assistance in recovering security deposits; filing and pursing actions against landlords for their failure to comply with Ohio law, etc.,
