Student Organization Funding
There are two main avenues for student organization to obtain funding. They are summarized here. Please refer to the Student Organization Operating Manual for full details.
ANNUAL FUNDING
Student Organizations wishing to obtain an annual operating budget from the University must submit a budget request each Spring semester. Details for this process will be announced by the Office of Student Involvement, and the approval process will be handled under the guidance of the Dean of Students.
SPECIAL & COLLABORATIVE FUNDING
The Student Activities Committee is a committee made up of students who determine the distribution of special and collaborative funds, and represent student organizations on important matters.
Special Funding
Funding awards from this source are awarded on an event by event basis, for programs that serve current students at UT.
Collaborative Funding
These funds are specifically to be used in support of programming which is sponsored by 2 or more registered UT student organizations working in collaboration.
To apply for Special or Collaborative Funding, review the SAC Method of Order, and complete the SAC Funding Request Form. Completed forms should be submitted to the Office of Student Involvement, 3504 SU.
