As a University of Toledo student, you have access to free tutoring in several courses offered at our student-friendly Learning Enhancement Center in the Rathbun Cove in the Carlson Library. Whether you are looking to improve a course grade, freshen up on study skills, check and strengthen your understanding of a topic, review assignments, or learn new test taking strategies, the LEC tutors can assist you.

The Learning Enhancement Center is open to all University students at no expense.
No appointment is necessary.
Review the tutoring schedule of the needed subject manner, to assure a tutor is available. Many hours are available.
Stop in and meet face-to-face with a highly trained tutor. Statistics show, the more you visit, the greater the possibility of increasing your GPA.
What to Bring
In order to provide the most efficient and effective tutoring, we suggest that students who are seeking our services have access to and bring the following items to their tutoring sessions:Class Notes
- Current Textbook
- Laptop to access online homework websites and/or printed assignments
- Pencil, pen, paper, etc.
- Calculator
- Lastly, come prepared with questions!
Our Tutors
Tutors in the Learning Enhancement Center are selected from an extensive screening
process which includes letters of recommendation, assessment of subject knowledge,
as well as, maintaining a minimum of a 3.5 overall GPA and a minimum of a B+ in the
subject they are tutoring.
Our tutors are involved in all aspects of campus life, as well as, being high academic achievers. Our tutors complete approximately 10 hours of training each year. The LEC continually strives to provide the best customer service possible.
