TRiO Student Support Services
Referred to as the TRiO program or the SSS program, TRiO Student Support Services is one of UT's oldest student retention programs. Federally funded since October of 2001, our selective program has supported more than 280 students toward a baccalaureate degree. One third of those graduates have begun graduate programs across the region.
If you want to develop a strong foundation for college success, make SSS an integral part of your lifelong success. We seek students who are motivated to succeed, complete their college degrees and assume leadership roles in their communities.

Services provided by SSS include multicultural social events, individual academic advising, tutoring, and career and social adjustment counseling, as well as being your resource for answers about university services and completing financial aid forms.
TRiO projects are funded under Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965 and are the TRiO Programs because there were initially three (TRiO Educational Talent Search, TRiO Upward Bound, and TRiO Student Support Services). This Student Support Services Project is 100% federally funded at $231,103 annually.
