College Credit Plus (CCP)

Becoming An Accredited DUAL ENROLLMENT INSTRUCTOR For THE University Of Toledo College Credit Plus (CCP) Courses

The University of Toledo CCP program has helped over 4,000 college-bound middle and high school students earn credit at the post-secondary level. We have also significantly increased our dual enrollment partners to give students the opportunity to earn college credit at their local schools. Pivotal to our success have been dedicated high school instructors who are willing to undertake the challenge of teaching a rigorous college course.

Qualifications

Any teacher interested in teaching a CCP course at the high school must possess:

  • Master’s degree in subject area
  • Master’s degree and a cohesive set of at least 18 semester credit hours of graduate coursework relevant to the discipline
  • Master’s degree and documented relevant work experience*

*Instructor must submit a description of the documented relevant work experience

    *For those who do not have a Rocket number, please make sure to complete the Affiliate Request Form in order for your application to be processed
  • Incomplete applications will not be processed

Once you have submitted your application, the University will:

  • Review submitted required materials to determine eligibility
  • The chair of the department for the curriculum the teacher is requesting will review, and approve or deny the application
  • Applications approved by the department chair will be sent to the Provost, who conduct a final review for approval
  • Approved instructors will be notified and a date and time will be set to meet with a UToledo faculty mentor assigned to the instructor, the Director of Academic Innovation and Testing Services and the Associate Director for Dual Credit and Early Outreach. The purpose of the meeting is to provide introductions, review the syllabus, text, course materials, Blackboard access and assessments that have been outlined for the course, and answer any questions or provide additional information.
  • Instructors who are denied will also be notified by the Director of Academic Innovation and Testing Services
