Residual ACT (ACT-R) Testing

The University of Toledo is offering an on-campus Residual ACT test. This test is only for the students who plan to attend The University of Toledo.

What is a Residual ACT?
Residual ACT (ACT-R) means that the ACT scores are good only at the institution that is offering the test.  Scores will not be released to another school.

The Residual ACT is strictly limited to students who have enrolled, have been admitted, or have officially applied to UToledo. Scores from this Residual ACT are reported to UToledo for admission, course placement, and advising purposes. Test scores cannot be sent to any other institution.

Why take the Residual ACT (ACT-R)? If you take the Residual ACT, you:

  • would not have to take an ACCUPLACER
  • would have better placement in courses at the appropriate skill level, allowing a greater opportunity for college success
  • could potentially enroll in your desired major for fall (some majors have an ACT requirement)
  • could potentially increase scholarship dollars from UToledo
