Current Students

Students, professors, and the Office of Accessibility all have important roles to play in ensuring that appropriate accommodations are provided to eligible students.

Students that have completed an intake can help ensure appropriate accommodations are in place each semester by:

  • Register for classes during the early registration period.
  • Schedule a meeting with your OA Accessibility Specialist to complete a Request for Service form for the upcoming semester as soon as possible after registering.
  • Keep your Accessibility Specialist updated if you add or drop a class.
  • Give your Advocacy Memos to faculty members.
  • Give faculty your Testing Accommodation Form if you receive testing accommodations.
  • Encourage you Professors to order electronic versions of textbooks, if you receive an e-text accommodation
  • Assist OA in identify textbook information
  • Notify your Accessibility Specialist immediately of any concerns regarding your academic accommodations.
  • Notify your Accessibility Specialist if, after attending class, you feel that a particular accommodation that you requested for the class is no longer needed.
