- The Freshmen 15: This semester, freshmen will be given the opportunity to participate in UT’s very own reality TV show. The show, named “The Freshmen 15,” will select 15 UT freshmen and place them in various competitions against one another. These competitions will include the fundraising for student organizations, the “Needle in the Haystack” scavenger hunt around campus and “Lost in U-Hall,” which will place the blindfolded contestants in unknown areas of University Hall and have them find their way through various checkpoints. The ultimate goal of the show is two-fold. The show seeks to “inform and educate the community about the benefits of campus life and a University of Toledo education.” The second goal of the show is to “build a sense of pride and school spirit among current student, faculty and alumni.”
