Although Honors students generally have a high school GPA of 3.75 or higher and an ACT composite score of 28 (1260 combined Reading and Mathematics SAT score) or higher, students with a 3.5 GPA and a 25 ACT composite (1150 combined SAT score) are also encouraged to apply. We review applications individually, and we consider your Honors essay, resume of activities, and involvement in the community in addition to your GPA and standardized test scores.
We have filled almost all Honors spaces for Fall Semester 2009. The link for the online Honors application will be closed as of 5 p.m. on 21 July 2009. If you want to apply for this fall semester after that date, please contact our office (419.530.6030 or honors@utoledo.edu) for assistance.
We will begin reviewing applications for Spring Semester 2010 on 8 September 2009. Typically, you will receive written notification about the College Honors Committee decision (admit, wait, or deny) several weeks after we have processed your completed Honors application.
Review of applications for Fall Semester 2010 will begin after our Priority Deadline of 11 January 2010. If you apply on or before that priority deadline, you should receive written notification about the Honors Committee decision (admit, wait, or deny) in early February 2010.
Please notify us (419.530.6030 or honors@utoledo.edu) if you change your major after you have submitted your Honors application. Changing your major could mean changing your college; we want to make sure that your Honors application goes to the correct College Honors Committee for a decision.
