Financial Assistance

Several types of financial assistance are available on a competitive basis. Graduate Assistants (GAs) work twenty hours each week, usually in conjunction with courses in American National Government. In addition, there are a small number of paid MPA internships with various public and nonprofit agencies in Northwest Ohio. Both carry a stipend, plus tuition remission, although recipients must pay a General Fee per semester.

GAs and interns must be full-time students with regular admission status. The Graduate School prohibits students with assistantships from working simultaneously outside the University.

Full-time or half-time students may apply for tuition scholarships. These are administered by the department for the Graduate School. Application for these should be made to the Chair of the department.

For more detailed information, contact the department chair: Professor Mark Denham at 419 530 4151.
