On October 6, 2018, the PERT Lab participated in the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention Out of the Darkness Walk in Toledo, Ohio. the past year, the PERT Lab graduate students hosted a dinner for them at the end

On Friday, April 20, the Department of Psychology held the first Research Showcase. The goal of the Research Showcase was to highlight the significant and innovative research being conducted within the Department of Psychology by undergraduate and doctoral students. PERT Lab psychology doctoral students Keith Edmonds, Courtney Forbes, and Julia Richmond presented their research. Undergraduate research assistant and psychology honors student Rachel Whitman also presented her poster, "The Role of Emotion Regulation Difficulties in the Relations between Childhood Sexual Abuse and Major Depressive Disorder, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, and Borderline Personality Disorder."
