About our students
Christina Pinciotti, Theatre
“I have met so many great people within the department, and I know that they are friends
to last a lifetime. The professors here really know their craft, and they are willing to help students
at the drop of a hat. I often think about what my life would be like if I hadn't chosen to go to UT to
pursue a theatre career. I never would have had the opportunity to be involved in
Fox Hunt, Cabaret, Miss Julie, Twelfth Night, or The Laramie Project. I am so grateful for this hidden gem of a department that has taught me to grow in
so many ways, and offer opportunities for all of us.”
“Being a member of this program has taught me things that I never thought I would
be able to learn. Especially with my body. I’ve learned that my body is an instrument within itself and I must take care of
it. I was able to learn some philosophy parts of acting as well, involving the body.”

"Being a student at UT is really great. You experience new things here everyday. You meet new and different people along the way as well. What I learned from being
here so far is that you can't wait and procrastinate because that can hurt you, so
manage your time wisely. Also don't sit around and stay inside all of the time because
then you won't make any friends and then your college life will be wasted."

Cory Sprinkles, Theatre

“My first semester as a theatre major only enforced my love and helped me understand
what I truly wanted to do in theatre. Within the two and a half years I have been
in this department I have learned many things that have helped me out tremendously
in the world as a lighting designer. Almost all of the professors here have helped
me understand what theatre is really about, and helped me to understand myself as
a designer even more. I love this department and after I graduate I will be sure to look back on this department
with fond memories, and skill sets I can never forget.”
