In addition to being strong teacher educators, faculty members are also active scholars. Faculty members within the department are successful grant writers and currently direct or co-direct multiple externally-funded projects. Finally, faculty members in the department are committed to serve the community in a variety of ways. In addition to being active in department, college and university service, faculty members regularly serve on the Board of Directors and Advisory Boards for national, state, regional, and local organizations. Faculty members serve as reviewers and editors for peer-reviewed journals, review federal grant proposals, and engage in other scholarly service.
