BIG Event

Saturday, March 21, 2020
10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Meet in the Student Recreation Center to check in and then get sent to your site.

For more information, visit the BIG event site page.

The BIG Event is the largest, one-day, student-run service project at The University of Toledo where students come together to say "Thank You" to the residents of Toledo, Bancroft Hills, and Secor Gardens for their continued support throughout the year. Each year, over 1,500 students provide over 7,000 total hours of service.

Students participate in this annual event to show their appreciation to the surrounding community by completing service projects such as volunteering throughout the community and in those neighborhoods that are closest to us.  Although the BIG Event has become the largest one-day, student-run service project in the nation, the message and our mission remains the same: to simply say, "Thank You."

Are you or your group interested in participating?

1000 students will receive a free Big Event shirt!

If you or your group have time conflicts and cannot commit to the full day, you can still participate for the time you have available.

Interested in being a work site?

This event is our way of saying "Thank You" to the residents of the City of Toledo. Projects include yard work, window washing, and painting for community members. If you want to be involved on the day of, please email the address below.
