Professor Benjamin Davis Offers Testimony Before the Ohio House of Representatives

On Tuesday, May 3rd, 2016, Professor Benjamin Davis of The University of Toledo College of Law offered testimony before The Ohio House of Representatives Government Accountability and Oversight Committee in Columbus, Ohio. 

Professor Davis’s testimony can be found here.  He noted, “It is an honor to be asked to bring my experience to the House Committee.”

In discussing the significance of testifying before a legislative body, Dean Benjamin Barros stated, "I am glad that Professor Davis had the opportunity to testify and share his legal expertise and his viewpoints with the Ohio House of Representatives.”  Dean Barros continued, “Society benefits when government decisions are informed by open debate, and providing this type of testimony is one of the important public services provided by the faculty of the College of Law."

Professor Davis teaches contracts, international law, and international business transactions at the College of Law.  Prior to entering teaching, he worked for 13 years at the International Chamber of Commerce (the World Business Organization) in Paris, France.  He is currently Vice Chair of the American Bar Association Section of Dispute Resolution as well as a member of the ABA Standing Committee on Law and National Security.
