Scope and Content Note
Collection includes a copy of “Parallel Path, Separate Status: A Portrait of Women Professors of English at the University of Toledo, 1909-1991” written by Elizabeth Steele, editor, Skaidrite Stelzer, assistant, and Carol Nelson Burns, aide. This paper was published in 1995 and contains information on women professors of the English Department at UT from 1909 to 1991. This information comes in all forms, ranging from biographies to personal, recorded interviews. The interviews included in the collection take place in 1992. The completed paper gives an overview of what women of different time periods have endured and accomplished while pursuing a career as a professor of English.
