ACLS for PA Students

Date: 6/2/2022  •  Time: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM;
Location: The skill class location is in the Simulation Center on the UT Health Science Campus.

This course is established specifically for the PA students of the University of Toledo.
Participants will attend a lecture presentation, complete the required online course, and then attend a skill session. The course is designed to provide the knowledge and skills needed to evaluate and initially manage a cardiac arrest or other cardiac emergencies.

Students enrolled in the University of Toledo's PA Program, and any other participants approved by the Life Support Program Director.

Must complete the 2020 Precourse Assessment and precourse Work course thru www.elearning.heart.org and must bring the certificate of completion to the skill session. Knowledge of basic EKG interpretation is also essential.

- Complete the Precourse Assessment and Precourse Work course and,
- Satisfactory performance as a team leader in a hands-on cardiac scenario and demonstration of sufficient knowledge of ACLS algorithms.
-Post written examination of 84% minimum.

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Provider Manual (2020 version). Students may purchase their own thru the AHA's website - ShopCPR.
