SUSPECTED ELEVATED LEAD LEVEL: WHAT NEXT?

 
  • If suspicious of elevated blood lead level BLL (>5 µg/dL) but level has not been tested, contact family or caregiver of child to ask Lead Screening Questionsand discuss risks and benefits to initial lead screening.

  • Recommend initial lead screening at health fair, PCP, local clinic, or Lucas County Health Department (419) 213-4100. If elevated, proceed to Confirmed Elevated Lead Level: What Next?
