As a mission-driven organization, The University of Toledo must clearly communicate and actively involve myriad stakeholders in achieving its strategic priorities through meaningful connections and compelling stories. This is accomplished in large part through UT’s Advancement Division, which is comprised of alumni relations, development, university marketing and communications, and the office of special events.

Alumni Relations

Maintains connections with alumni worldwide and encourages them to remain actively engaged with the University after graduation. Offers services and programs that add value to alumni lives while enabling them to serve their alma mater through opportunities such as philanthropy, student mentoring, volunteerism and more.

Matches donors’ passions with the University’s institutional priorities – such as fostering academic success through student scholarships, faculty endowments, cutting-edge research and updated facilities – while also overseeing fund stewardship and management in support of the University’s mission and vision.

Office of Special Events

Collaborates with the president and other University administrators to coordinate and plan major events for senior University leadership and key donors to ensure high-quality festivities – such as naming and dedication events, facility groundbreakings and annual awards ceremonies – that well-represent the University.
