Department of Learning and Academic Technology
Learning and Academic Technology is responsible for supporting Learning Ventures provided academic technologies from the technical infrastructure through faculty training and support. The department consists of two teams: Educational Technology Services and Technology Support.
Educational Technology Services
The Educational Technology Services team offers consultations with faculty regarding effective use of educational technologies in online, hybrid, and classroom environments. Their goal is to provide in-depth training opportunities and encourage faculty adoption of relevant technology that promotes a learner-centered educational environment.

The Technology Support team is responsible for managing the technology and infrastructure that supports the university’s online learning programs and various academic technologies. In addition to Blackboard Learn, Technology Support administers the infrastructure and administrative functions supporting lecture capture with Echo360, media streaming for online courses, Blackboard Outcomes Assessment, Blackboard Collaborate Web Conferencing, publisher integrations with Blackboard Learn and many other academic tools and services.
