must i BE A FULL-TIME STUDENT TO BE a PRESIDENTIAL AMBASSADOR?

Yes, you must be a full-time student and fully engaged in academic life at UToledo.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS TO be AN AMBASSADOR?

Because Ambassadors must represent UToledo and our president well, you must have a minimum GPA of 3.0, be involved in campus and community activities, and show tremendous Rocket pride.

WHEN DO YOU TAKE APPLICATIONS FOR MEMBERSHIP?

Applications are available in January each year and are posted on the Presidential Ambassador's website.

HOW OFTEN DO THE PRESIDENTIAL AMBASSADORS MEET?

The Ambassadors meet the first Tuesday of each month at 7:30 a.m.

ARE THERE ANY OTHER REQUIREMENTS TO BE AN AMBASSADOR?

You should be available to volunteer for at least two events per semester.

AT WHAT KIND OF EVENTS DO THE AMBASSADORS WORK?

Ambassadors work at receptions at the president's home, the president's tailgate tent and suite at football games, donor events, alumni events, community-wide events and other VIP functions.

HOW DO I learn ABOUT SIGNING UP FOR upcoming EVENTS?

You will be notified of events through your student email, monthly meetings and on the Presidential Ambassadors Facebook page.

AFTER I'M ACCEPTED, DO I NEED TO RE-APPLY EACH YEAR TO REMAIN AN AMBASSADOR?

No. You may be an ambassador as long as you are enrolled full-time at UToledo and maintain the requirements of a Presidential Ambassador.

WILL I HAVE the chance TO MEET DONORS, ALUMNI AND UNIVERSITY OFFICIALS?

Yes, you will have the opportunity to meet a wide variety of campus and community leaders, such as college deans and administrators, visiting dignitaries, politicians, alumni and other individuals from a wide array of backgrounds. Being a Presidential Ambassador enables you to network with many individuals who work in higher education, government, business, not-for-profit organizations, entertainment and other fields.

does it cost anything to be a presidential ambassador?

No, there are no dues or membership fees. Our volunteer service is greatly appreciated by UToledo's president and the campus community.
