The 100% online Postmaster’s to Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program at The University of Toledo is designed to elevate master’s-prepared nurses to the highest level of clinical practice. The 100% online curriculum builds on the master's program by providing education in evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and systems leadership, among other key areas.

Our students also take advantage of real-world clinical opportunitieswith some of the best clinical sites in the region, including The University of Toledo Medical Center and ProMedica Healthcare.

The 100% online DNP curriculum includes theoretical and clinical courses to prepare students to lead and develop innovative healthcare delivery in a variety of settings.

There are three MSN to DNP track options at The University of Toledo.

  • The MSN to DNP NP track is for the master’s-prepared nurse who desires to complete the DNP and become an advanced practice nurse. Nurse practitioner tracks include:
    • Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
    • Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner
    • Family Nurse Practitioner
    • Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner
    • Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
  • The MSN to DNP Nurse Executive track is designed to take the master’s-prepared nurse to the highest level of nursing leadership.
