PROGRAM OVERVIEW

A master's degree in special education allows students to choose among a focus in special education in the areas of early intervention, preschool special needs, high incidence conditions (e.g. learning disability, intellectual disability, emotional disturbance), severe disabilities (e.g. physical, cognitive and social-emotional), transition, and behavior disorders. The location of the university offers students opportunities to work with individuals who have a wide range of abilities in a variety of school settings and intervention programs. The online program is a non-licensure program. We offer an on-campus master's program in special education for those who wish to earn a license.
