What's New? 

To further advance our goal to improve parking operations and services and continually respond to feedback, additional changes and enhancements have been made for the 2019-20 fiscal year. These changes include new programs, procedures and software that will benefit students, faculty, staff and guests. 

ParkMobile

The University of Toledo launched a pay by phone parking solution that utilizes an app called ParkMobile. This app makes it easy to find and pay for parking on campus without running back to feed the meter.  Benefits include:

  • ParkMobile provides a mobile payment service, including help support.
  • Pay for parking via a smartphone app, toll free number or the web.
  • No need to stop at a pay station.
  • No credit card necessary after you complete your account set up.
  • No coins/cash needed.
  • ParkMobile can send reminders by text message so you can extend your parking time from your cell phone.
  • Use your account wherever ParkMobile is offered.

NuPark

NuPark, a new parking management system, is now live across Campuses. Visit myparking.utoledo.edu to view the new management system. If you have questions, please email parking@utoledo.edu. For assistance with the new management system, please view the guides below. 

 

 PARKING AFTER 4 P.M.

Registered UToledo permit holders may park in most lots after 4 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Monday through Friday. UToledo parking permits are still required to park on campus.

Exceptions Include: 
  • Reserved, disabled and metered spaces, enforced 24/7; 
  • Area 14 (West of Memorial Field house) and 44A (North of Collier); 
  • Area 25N (South of Rocket Hall) and 27A (West of Ottawa West) (no overnight parking from 1 to 6 a.m.); and
  • Patient lots.

 APPEAL PROCESS

The streamlined appeal process will improve response time and enhance customer service. See details below:

  • All parking violations must be paid or appealed within ten (10) calendar days from the date of issuance.
  • A $10 late fee will be applied if payment is not received within ten (10) calendar days of issue or notification date
  • Second appeals will be eliminated, improving UToledo's response time.
  • A Ticket Forgiveness program has been established for first-eligible violations, when appealed
  • Delayed payment of 30+ days from the issue or notification date may result in additional fees, and notification sent to UToledo Collections Department.
NON-APPEALABLE VIOLATIONS 
  • Illegally parked in disabled space
  • Illegally parked in reserved space or lot
  • Unauthorized access to restricted areas
  • Parked in a  fire lane
  • Failure to register vehicle
  • Parked or driving on grass or landscaped area
  • Parked or driving on sidewalk
  • Parked on crosswalk or curb-cut
  • Parked in roadway
  • Parked in a no-parking or tow-away zone
  • Parked in expired metered/zoned space 
Ticket Forgiveness Program

The Ticket Forgiveness Program is designed to educate the UToledo community on parking policies and procedures to minimize future violations for students, faculty and staff. It is a self-directed online education opportunity that allows any active student, employee or affiliate to waive their first appeal for an eligible violation for the academic year (August - July.)

eligible violations include:
  • Failure to register for a UToledo parking permit.
  • Failure to update parking registration with correct information.
  • Failure to observe posted parking restrictions (parking outside of permit limits).
  • View of license plate obstructed (license plate not facing drive aisle).  
VIOLATION CHANGES
  • Failure to update: $10
  • Illegally parked in a reserved space/lot: $100
  • Unauthorized Access: $100

 EMPLOYEE RATES

Effective for the 2019-20 academic year, student rates will remain the same. There will be a minimal annual parking fee increase for general faculty and staff permit types. To see all affected permit types and rates, see chart below.

Student rates will remain the same for academic year 2019 to 2020. 

Student Rate:
  • $125 per semester
  • $100 Residential Freshman - Scott Park
  • All student permits are charged directly to the student's e-statement

Please Note: The E-Executive permit has been discontinued. These employees may opt to upgrade to the E-Reserved or purchase an A Employee permit.

 GUEST PARKING 

The guest parking daily rate is $5 and the permit can be purchased at guestparking.utoledo.edu. Daily permits purchased by a guest allows them to park in C lots within a white-lined space. This permit cannot be used to park in metered spaces, which require a separate payment. 

 DEPARTMENTAL GUESTS

All vehicles parked on a University campus will be assessed a $5 parking fee. There are two payment options for department guests while visiting a UToledo campus. The department may elect to cover the cost of the guest permit or advise the guest to purchase a permit at guestparking.utoledo.edu. When a permit is purchased by the guest, the guest will receive a C permit. When the permit is purchased by the department, the guest will receive an A permit. Affiliate Communication

It is the goal of parking services to communicate with all customers in a prompt and efficient manner. Affiliates are required to provide their email address when purchasing a parking permit. All communications regarding parking will be sent via the provided email address during active affiliation.
