Rachael Decker, M.Ed. - Associate Director, Programs & Assessment

The primary function of this position is to provide leadership and direction in all programming areas of the department, which includes Aquatic Programming and Operations, Camps, Competitive Sports, Fitness/Wellness and Special Event Recreational Programs, with specific duties in the area of Fitness/Wellness and serving as direct contact for university wide student wellness. Also this position is responsible for management of all assessment related tools for the department which includes, assisting the Director with the departments strategic plan assessment process, assisting with annual member user and bi-annual student employee satisfaction surveys, lead developer of the department’s Division of Student Affairs assessment plan, and serving on division and university wide assessment committees as needed.

Nancy Burhans, M.Ed. - Assistant Director, Facilities Operations

The primary function of this position is to provide leadership and direction in all daily functions of the operations of the facilities managed by the department which includes the Student Recreation Center, Carter Field(s) and Health Education Center. Work directly with campus Facility Management to maintain clean and safe facilities which includes maintenance and custodial needs of all UT Rec Facilities.

Tony North Jr., M.S - Assistant Director, Programs & Leadership Development

The primary function of this position is to provide leadership and direction in the competitive sports and Youth Camps area of the department, which includes Intramural Sports, Club Sports, Kids Camp and The University of Toledo eSports Varsity Team. Also, to provide leadership and direction of the department’s student employee training and development area.

The primary function of this position is to provide coordination, planning, and supervision of all Aquatics Operations, Programs, and Safety Education of the department, which includes CPR/First Aid Courses, Lifeguard Instructor Courses, Lifeguard Courses and training for department personnel. The Challenge area includes, Climbwall, Slackline, High Ropes, Key Log Rolling and Team Building.

The primary function of this assistantship is to assist with the training and development of all student employees as well as assisting with employee incentive program and infraction review, coordinating award and recognition process and serving as co-advisor for Rec Council.

Jacob Tatta, Graduate Assistant, Fitness & Wellness
Undergrad - Iowa State University

This assistantship works in conjunction with the Assistant Director of Programs to provide quality fitness/wellness programs and activities. This position is responsible for coordinating and promoting fitness programs and events for the Office of Recreational Services. In addition, the Graduate Assistant of Fitness assists with oversight of the Personal Training staff and actively participates in Rec Council.

Mason Bagley, Graduate Assistant, Operations & Facilities Management
Undergrad - University of Wisconsin-Whitewater

This assistantship is involved in the day to day operation of the Student Recreation Center and the Health Education Center (HEC) including managing the student staff and support of all recreational activities within the facilities.
