INTERDISCIPLINARY AND SPECIAL PROGRAMS

Department of Interdisciplinary and Special Programs

The Department of Interdisciplinary and Special Programs (ISP) includes the following degree programs:

General Studies

The General Studies associates degree enables students to complete the core education requirements for bachelor degree programs while customizing their path to meet individual and professional needs.

University Studies Program

University Studies, formerly Individualized Programs (IDVP), allows you to work with your academic advisor to design your own customized bachelor’s degree program. You’re in charge and create your own path.

Liberal Studies

The liberal studies program allows adults to earn a degree while completing coursework at their own pace.  The program integrates knowledge and real-world experiences with formal learning to meet their personal learning goals. Liberal Studies students work through our competency-based education (CBE) track. This format allows you to learn at your own pace: once you’ve mastered a topic, you can advance immediately to the next topic. This degree can be completed on campus or 100% online.
