Application Checklist

First Time Freshman

Students who have never attended college post high school graduation. Students who took college courses during the summer immediately following high school graduation and who enroll at UToledo the following fall are also first-time freshman. Students who have taken post-secondary (college) courses only while enrolled in high school are considered first-time freshmen.

After submitting your application for admission and $40 application fee, please submit the following:

  • Official high school transcript or official GED diploma and scores (for merit scholarship)
  • Official ACT or SAT scores sent directly from the testing agency (if applying with test scores. Not required for those applying test-optional)
  • Official transcripts from all colleges/ universities attended (including post-secondary, dual enrollment)

Please note this category includes direct-from-high school students and adult students who have never attended college post high school graduation. If you are an adult student 25 years of age of older, or are a current member or veteran of the U.S. military, we do not require you to submit ACT and SAT scores for admission.


Transfer Students

Students with college credit taken fall semester of the year they graduated from high school or later. Students who took college courses during high school or immediately following graduation and enroll at UToledo the following fall are considered first-time freshman.

Needed documents:

  • Application for admission
  • $40 application fee
  • Official high school transcript or official GED diploma and scores
  • Official transcript from all colleges/universities attended
