Got plans this summer? The University of Toledo Department of Music is offering several incredible music workshops this summer! Some are geared toward students - from middle school through college, others are for music educators. From Jazz to Classical, from strings to flute to voice to choral conducting - there is literally something for just about everyone. Performance Date: Saturday, June 18 at 7:30 p.m. UT Center for Performing Arts Studio Theatre
(Admission to performance & Parking - $5 - all are welcome!)

Also traveling to Italy with IYAP? -  your Janus Participant fee is just $200

Middle School through High School Track June 6-12 (Ages: 12-18)
Acting classes, voice lessons, personal coaching, concert preparation, program - music theatre
Performance Dates: Sunday, June 12 at 3 p.m. Doermann Theatre, University Hall (main campus)

Tracks: Vocal, Instrumental, Teacher-Training, Jazz Appreciation
Description: The UT Summer Jazz Institute is the place where ALL levels of jazz students can discover and achieve their jazz potential through the study of jazz in one of four exceptional programs: instrumental jazz, vocal jazz, teacher training* and jazz appreciation.
*The teacher training track is flexible to your time and needs. It provides enough contact hours for 1-3 hours of Continuing Education. Please check with your school district for its continuing education policies and forms.
Cost: $500 (any track)

Flute Camp is led by Joel Tse, principal flute for the Toledo Symphony
Faculty: Joel Tse, Principal Flute with Toledo Symphony, UT Flute Instructor
Amy Heritage, 2nd Flute with TSO & Suzuki Flute Instructor
Ages: Elementary School through Adult
Track 1: Beginning (1-3 years experience),  mornings (Amy Heritage) 
Track 2: Intermediate & Advanced (Joel Tse, full day)
Track 3: Adult Flutists (age 25+), 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
EXTRAS Special guest Robert Johnson of Flute Specialists who will present a flute repair & care workshop. Additional workshops for all participants in yoga and breathing, music and movement. A concert performed by all students concludes the workshop on Friday at 4 p.m. All are welcome.

Amy Heritage will teach the beginner track at the 2015 UT Flute CampCost:
Track 1 – $150/week (mornings-only workshop), Track 2 – $300/week (full day), Track 3 - $150/week (afternoons-only workshop). $65/day if you plan to attend fewer than 5 days. Scholarship funds available! See registration form for details.

Dr. Brad Pierson, Director of Choral Activities at The University of Toledochoral Conducting & teaching workshop |  JULY 28

Faculty: Dr. Brad Pierson, UT Director of Choral Activities

A one-day comprehensive and immersive choral conducting workshop. This workshop is designed to serve and educate individuals as conductor, teacher, leader, scholar, performer, and servant. Conductors will engage in sessions covering a wide variety of topics. There will be a limit of 15 spaces so that each conductor is allowed sufficient podium/conducting time. Coffee will be provided in the morning, and lunch is included with registration.  A 25 song choral reading packet will be sponsored by Musical Resources.

Cost is $100 if registered by July 1; after July 1 cost is $125.
Final deadline to register is July 21 or until the class is full, whichever comes first.
Fees are due by the first day of the workshop.
