Higher Education Administration Certificate

The Higher Education program offers a 12-credit hour Certificate Program in Higher Education Administration.

Certificate Program Courses:

Four courses will satisfy the 12-graduate-credit-hour requirement of the Certificate program. Course options are presented as choices from two large categories: 1) Institutional Administration that includes courses focusing on the administration, governance, and operation of institutions of higher education, and 2) Learning Environments that includes courses focusing on student growth and the creation of beneficial learning environments for all members of the academic community:

Admission Requirements:

  • A completed Graduate School admissions form.
  • A baccalaureate degree granted by an accredited institution, with a minimum GPA of 2.7. (Current graduate students must be in good academic standing, with a GPA of 3.0 or above.)
  • Official transcripts from all previous higher education institutions attended.
  • A statement of purpose discussing the applicant's interest in the Certificate Program.
  • A current resume or curriculum vitae.

The applicant will be responsible for assembling these materials and submitting them to the College of Graduate Studies.
