In order to support the development and well-being of all children, it is important that Early Childhood educators develop knowledge and skills to implement social-emotional/behavioral interventions and classroom management strategies. Division for Exceptional Children (DEC) Position Statements:

The National Center for Pyramid Model Innovations (NCPMI)

Center on the Social and Emotional Foundations for Early Learning (CSEFEL)
The CSEFEL website provides resources that focus on promoting the social emotional development and school readiness of young children birth to age 5. It includes a variety of resources for both professionals including the What Works Briefs: Summaries of Effective Practices for Supporting Children's Social-Emotional Development and Preventing Challenging Behaviors and video clips that explore strategies related to social emotional development.
