Back2School Bash! September 1, 2015
Students in JHCOE started out the new year with a blast! The college held a "Back2School Bash" outdoors for students, faculty and staff on the front lawn of Gillham Hall. "It’s a back to school event where faculty and students can get together and meet in a more casual setting, one that’s outside the classroom,” said Libby McKnight, graduate advisor and enrollment management specialist in the Judith Herb College of Education. It’s a time to build community and create an open and friendly environment; one that is more enjoyable and meaningful for us all.
The event featureed cornhole, hot dogs, snacks, and music disc jockeyed by Richard Clark, an academic advisor in the Judith Herb College of Education and professional DJ. Plan to test your skills at “Name that Tune”! Faculty and staff attending the event will receive a free t-shirt promoting an upcoming screening of “Teach,” a documentary on America’s education system made in 2013, which will be held during Inauguration Week. Be on the lookout for this informative and inspiring film on what it takes to be a teacher!

We had over 170 students to attend. The winners of prizes include:
